Always handle the Eureka! Cup with clean hands.
Before using it, it is important to know some practical aspects of daily use: many public or shared bathrooms are not adapted for comfortably rinsing a menstrual cup.<\/g>
For this reason, it is helpful to clearly understand how to insert, remove, and clean it properly in any situation. <\/p>\n

How to insert the Eureka! Drainable Cup (step by step) <\/h2>\n

Follow these steps:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. For right-handed users, hold the Eureka! Cup by its rim between the index finger and thumb of your left hand. <\/strong>
    Using the tip of your right index finger, fold the Eureka! Cup <\/strong> through any of its four notches until reaching its deepest point. It will collapse into a fold. <\/li>\n
  2. Remove your index finger without letting it unfold,<\/strong> and hold the Eureka! Cup with your right hand. Find the position that feels most comfortable for inserting it into the vagina.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  3. Use your left hand to separate the vaginal lips <\/strong>and insert the Eureka! Cup until it is completely inside the vagina (except for the tube). When you remove your fingers, the Eureka! Cup will unfold inside the vagina.
    To help ensure this happens, you can rotate the Eureka! Cup until you feel it fully open.
    You can confirm it by running your finger around the cup. <\/li>\n
  4. Insert the tube into the vagina with the help of your fingers<\/strong> until it is completely in a vertical position. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Emptying the menstrual cup with drainable tube<\/h2>\n
      \n
    • Before emptying, wash your hands<\/strong> preferably with warm water and neutral soap. Insert two fingers into the vagina and hold the tube<\/strong> to begin extraction, avoiding excessive pressure so the blood does not flow prematurely. Aim toward the toilet bowl and allow the blood to flow out.<\/strong> <\/li>\n
    • Once emptying is complete, push the tube back up<\/strong> into its sealing position as previously described. If necessary, the tube can be wiped clean with tissue before reinserting it. <\/li>\n
    • Empty the Eureka! Cup at least once every 12 hours. <\/strong> It may need to be emptied sooner depending on your menstrual flow intensity.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Removing the drainable cup<\/h2>\n
        \n
      • To fully remove the Eureka! Cup <\/strong>, follow the emptying steps but instead of pushing the tube back in, grasp the base of the cup<\/strong> (not the tube) with two fingers and remove it.<\/strong><\/li>\n
      • We recommend using the Eureka! Cup until you find the easiest and most comfortable method for inserting, emptying, and removing it. This may vary from person to person. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Maintenance and cleaning of the cup<\/h2>\n

        • During menstruation, wash the Eureka! Cup <\/strong> with warm water and neutral soap.<\/strong><\/li>\n
        • Once your period ends,<\/strong> the Eureka! Cup must besterilized, and the process <\/strong> should be repeated just before using it again at the start of your next period.
          Sterilize the Eureka! Cup in our sterilizing cup or in a saucepan by boiling it for 3 minutes, then store it in the bag included in the box. <\/li>\n
